1. What visual elements grab your attention first?
The first thing that catches my eye is the dirty run down city of Akron Ohio.
2. What other details reinforce that impression? How?
Obama talking in the background and the written words contradicting Obamas background speech also help reinforce by impression because it is Romney's video and he is grabbing the audiences attention just like the video is suppose to do.
3. What is important? Less important?
The important part is that Romney is doing a good job contradicting Obamas background speech with the visual statistics and the poor looking background. Although I think the point would have been made even if Obama wasn't talking in the background.
4. What about color and style? What impact do they have on your impression?
The video of poor Akron Ohio and the popping up words, they really impacted my choice of this video because they grab your attention right away.
5. How does they image direct the viewers eyes and reinforce what is important?
The poor neighborhood directs the readers eyes to realize that this has happened during Obamas presidency and Romney doesn't like it. It helps reinforce the unemployment rates and how important jobs are.
6. What text is included? How does the text relate to the image?
The popping up texts of unemployment statistics, also the change text and the OIW text at the end really catch the audiences eye. It relates much to the video because if you just saw the video with out those popping texts it would have a whole different meaning.
7. What argument is being made?
Romney's argument is that we need a change and that change is president. Also, that he can change unemployment rates unlike Obama. His audience would be the unemployed Americans as well as the entire Republican party.
