Haruf Essay- Rhetorical Precis
Kent Haurf's essay "Writers on Writing; to see your story clearly, by pulling the wool over your own eyes," claims that some writers have an interesting way of writing. The author shows many other famous authors traditions, such as, Cheever writing in his underwear, Wolfe leaning on the refrigerator and himself in a coal room in his basement. He tells us this in order to make the point that some people get their ideas in their own place at their own time. Bases on Kent's tone he seems to be talking to an audience of teenagers and maybe young adults. You can conclude this by his tone, and the way he starts his essay so enthusiastically.
